For a diverse, cultural dining experience showcasing what Dearborn has to offer, food lovers should look no further than the second annual Dearborn Restaurant Week. The weeklong event returns by popular demand to Downtown Dearborn Feb. 12-18, 2018, promising to entertain taste buds and discerning palates with over 35 participating restaurants.
The wide array of local cuisine found in Dearborn as part of Restaurant Week will expose restaurant goers to hidden gems, new-to-the-scene hot spots and the opportunity to rediscover longtime favorites. Throughout the week, each participating Dearborn restaurant will have their regular menu alongside a special Dearborn Restaurant Week menu plating a prix-fixe, 3-course meal priced at $10, $20 or $30 for either lunch and/or dinner, and for one or two people.
“Menus will include new dishes that represent the restaurant’s style of cooking or a medley of the restaurant’s existing plates,” said Downtown Dearborn Promotions Committee Chairperson Sam Abbas, owner of Brome Modern Eatery and Yogurtopia. Ordering from the Dearborn Restaurant Week menu is encouraged, but not required.
“Last year, our first Restaurant Week was an overwhelming success, leading to the participation of even more restaurants for year two,” said Cristina Sheppard-Decius, Downtown Dearborn Executive Director. “We want to continue to bring to the forefront Dearborn’s diverse tapestry of people, places and flavors. Dearborn Restaurant Week will guide Metro Detroiters to discover the variety, quality, personal service and hometown experience Dearborn delivers.”
No tickets are required to participate. Interested participants should visit DearbornRestaurantWeek.com for the growing list of participating restaurants and to determine if there are reservation requirements.
