Items include crafts, breads, plants and more
The Dearborn Herb Study Association (DHSA), a Dearborn Museum Guild member, will host their annual craft, bread, and plant sale on Saturday, May 13.
The Spring Fiesta sale blooms rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the McFadden Ross House, 915 S. Brady. Guests may purchase a variety of crafts, homemade herb breads, garden supplies, or gifts for Mothers’ Day on Sunday, May 14.
Some of the herbs for sale include basil, rosemary, thyme, parsley, chives. There will also be bedding plants offered.Visitors to the event will also be able to buy homemade treats for their pets.
The spring bazaar features its popular fresh-baked herb breads, dipping oils, baked goods, and other various herbal delights.
“The special herb bread is usually sold out within an hour,” said Museum Assistant Marguerite Baumgardner. The bread is baked at a local bakery using a special recipe by DHSA members. They also make herb butter and special cookies with lavender.
Proceeds from the Spring Fiesta will benefit the DHSA, which in turn supports the museum grounds. For additional information on the museum, visit https://thedhm.com/.
