A community education session on recycling is slated for 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 17, in room 213 at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 N. Military (at Cherry Hill).

The event, titled "Toss or Turn? Why and How to Recycle for a Better Environment" is sponsored by the League of Women Voters Dearborn-Dearborn Heights.

Victoria Czapski, the community education coordinator for GFL Environmental USA, will present the basics of recycling, a detailed description of what can be placed in recycling carts, where it goes, and the benefits of recycling.

Members of the public are invited to this free meeting. Light refreshments will be available.
