The service drive for northbound Southfield Road will close on Friday at about 9 a.m. between Rotunda and Michigan Avenue.
The closure is needed to make emergency bridge repairs on the service drive over the Rouge River.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) expects the closure to last about 12 days, weather permitting.
Drivers who need to get on northbound M-39 are encouraged to enter at the Oakwood Boulevard ramp.
Drivers on northbound Southfield will not be able to exit onto Michigan Avenue. Instead, they will be directed to Ford Road.
Please adjust your travel plans to account for this closure, and as always be patient while necessary work is being performed. For MDOT traffic updates, visit this link: MiDrive
