The Dearborn Summer Festival Chorus Performs July 23
at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center

The Dearborn Summer Festival Chorus, directed by G. Kevin Dewey and sponsored by the Dearborn Recreation Department, will be presenting a concert at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, in the Michael A. Guido Theater in Dearborn’s Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.

This mixed chorus of more than 100 voices will be featuring Randall Thompson’s Frostiana: Seven Country Songs, based on poems by Robert Frost. In addition, a wide array of traditional choral works by composers such as Franz Joseph Haydn and Alexander Gretchaninoff will be performed.

G. Kevin Dewey has been conducting area choirs for over two decades and also brings to the podium experience as a professional vocal and instrumental performer, composer and arranger. He is Director of Choirs at Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) and the Vanguard Voices, which is a program of the Dearborn Recreation Department and is choir-in-residence at HFCC.

General admission tickets for the concert are $5 and children ages 12 and under are free. Tickets are available for purchase at The Center’s box office, or by phone by calling 313.943.2354.
