Public housing receives top marks

Springwells Park offers Sept. 20 fall garden tour to benefit Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive charity

Tickets are now on sale for a special fall garden tour taking place on Saturday, Sept. 20, in Springwells Park, one of Dearborn’s most unique and beautiful neighborhoods.

Proceeds benefit the Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive, a charity that raises funds to help burn victims, children in need and victims of fire recover from the devastating effects that fires have had on their lives.

Offered by the Springwells Park Association, the fall garden tour takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 20.

The event also features a craft sale (with bird houses, garden stones, gourds, gardener’s soap, pottery demonstrations and garden art) and refreshments such as caramel apples, cider, donuts and more.

Tickets are $8 per person if purchased in advance, or $10 on the day of the event.

To purchase tickets in advance, mail the following information – name, address, phone number and number of tickets requested – plus your check (made payable to “SPA”) to this address: SPA Garden Tour, 4 Woodbury Lane, Dearborn, MI 48120.

On the day of the event, tickets, field guides and area maps will be available in the parking lot of the Senate Coney Island restaurant, located at the corner of Greenfield Road and Rotunda Drive.

In the event of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21, from noon to 5 p.m.

For more information, call 313.425.0304 or visit www.springwellspark.org.
