New edition of Meet Your Council now airing
on CDTV
The newest edition of the program Meet Your Council is now
airing on CDTV, the City of Dearborn’s official government access
cable television channel.

The new edition of Meet Your Council features the following items:
- City Council President Thomas P. Tafelski speaks with Dan Merritt,
co-owner of Green Brain Comics, about the shop’s very successful
eighth annual Free Comic Book Day.
- Council President Pro Tem Nancy A. Hubbard previews Camp Dearborn’s
60th anniversary with Peggy Schous from Friends of Camp Dearborn.
The segment includes wonderful vintage still and moving images from
Camp’s past.
- Council Member Mark Shooshanian looks at the Dearborn Historical
Museum’s Pioneer School Days program with Chief Curator Kirt
Gross. Cheryl Belczak’s third grade students from Haigh School
are the participants.
- Council Member Suzanne Sareini examines the issue of domestic violence
and offers hope through community resources. Her guests are Hoda Amine,
Director of Dearborn’s Family Intervention Center; Mona Farouk,
a domestic violence survivor; and Joann Ladki, domestic violence prevention
specialist from ACCESS.
- Council Member George Darany enjoys Chocolate: The Exhibition
at The Henry Ford. He meets the Chocolate Cake Taste Off contest winner
Kathy Manta of Ann Arbor. He also hears about the pleasure and history
of our favorite vice from Donna Braden, Curator of Public Life, and
Susan Schmidt, Food Services and Catering Director. Both experts are
from The Henry Ford.
