Dearborn senior citizens invited to register for Western Wayne County Senior Olympics

Dearborn senior citizens are invited to register to participate in the fourth annual Western Wayne County Senior Olympics.

Seniors from 16 Western Wayne County communities will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in four age categories during the week of Monday, Aug. 18.

Pick up a registration packet in the senior citizen services area of Dearborn’s Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Avenue (corner of Greenfield road).

Senior Olympics events will include: baking contest, table tennis, 10-mile bike race, art, creative writing, fun walk, 5K run, softball throw, euchre, tennis, golf, bridge, volleyball, shuffleboard, swimming, billiards, pinochle, bocce ball, bowling and ballroom dancing.
