The Dearborn City Clerk’s Office is looking for poll workers for the Primary Election on August 2, 2016 and the General Election on November 8, 2016.
Candidates should be at least 18 years of age, a registered voter in Michigan and have basic computer skills. Students who are 16 or 17 years old may also apply. This position pays $130 for the day and an additional $20 for attending the pre-election instruction classes that will be held the week preceding each election.
The hours of work are from 6:15 a.m. until about 9 p.m. on each Election Day. Duties of the job include helping with the set-up of election equipment, processing voters, offering instructions, saving reports on the computer and assisting with closing the polls.
Interested parties may fill out an application at the City Clerk’s Office in the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave. and are encouraged to do so soon.
