Pursuant to City of Dearborn ordinances, non-owner-occupied homes must be inspected to ensure complience with minimum housing standards, and to ensure that Certificates of Occupancy are kept current.

To register your property within the City of Dearborn, you must schedule an inspection and obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. There is no charge for registration; however, inspection fees will apply.
Inspection fees are billed to the property owner/representative after the inspection is performed. Fees are $200 for a single-family home; $250 for a two-family home.
