Dearborn is the home of the Ford Motor Company, which helped put the "world on wheels;" headquarters of AAA Michigan, the international headquarters of Carhartt, known for its premium workwear; Eppinger Manufacturing, the maker of famous Dardevle fishing lures; Dearborn Sausage, Al Wissam, a maker of designer fashions, nationally famous Arab pastry shops and 4,000 other small to large businesses, many of which have provided a variety of services and products for more than 50 years.
Ford Motor Company's Rouge Plant has the larges green roof in the world, with 454,000 square feet covered with sedum and other plants. In addition to major automotive manufacturing, Dearborn is an industrial center for steel processing with recent major investments of more than $600 millions by Severstal Steel. Because Dearborn is a major southeastern Michigan employment and educational center, the City's daytime population swells to more than 150,000 people. The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce and the American Arab Chamber of Commerce serve local and regional business with a variety of Programs and membership opportunities. Also serving business are the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority and the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority.

The chamber has two goals: To promote Dearborn, and to help our members succeed.
Hotels, tourist attractions, stores, shopping districts and restaurants benefit from the chamber's initiatives to attract tourists to Dearborn. Tools include the website, visitor information packets, dining guide and the annual Taste of Dearborn.

The Chamber promotes and assists member businesses, here and abroad. The Chamber provides referrals, minority business certification, Arab-American vendor invitations for lucrative public and private sector projects, networking opportunities, business and cultural training, import and export assistance, document certification, communications, group health insurance, and savings on common expenses.
