The maintenance of public roads in Dearborn is managed by the City of Dearborn, Wayne County, and agencies of the State of Michigan. The entity responsible for road repairs is determined by who owns the road: the City, the County, or the State. View a map of City, County, and State-owned roads in Dearborn.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) oversees maintenance of all City of Dearborn-owned roads and intersections. Repairs and construction on City-owned roads are directed by the Engineering Division of DPW. The Engineering Division works closely with Wayne County and state agencies on projects impacting Dearborn roadways that are not owned or operated by the City. Residents living adjacent to where construction occurs will receive letters with all the project information and answers to many frequently asked questions.
