Left turns allowed on Michigan Avenue in west downtown; other traffic info

constructionLeft turns in downtown west Dearborn are allowed again from Michigan Avenue onto Oakwood, Monroe, and Mason, although construction on the Wagner Place development continues.

Drivers will still encounter the closure of the right lane on eastbound Michigan Avenue to allow for safe and efficient building construction, so traffic could be backed up at times.

The construction is affecting nearby roads as well. The following closures are slated to be closed (tentatively) until July 31:

  • West Village Drive is closed from the west edge of Nigosian Rug Co., 21919 Michigan Ave., to the property edge of Dearborn Wig Shop, 22057 Michigan Ave.
  • Monroe is closed from Michigan Avenue to Park Street for utility improvements.

Access to Parking Lot H will remain open off of West Village Drive and Mason, although intermittent closings will happen in April with dates to be announced.
