Continued progress is being made on construction at Wagner Place, which also means a few temporary changes in parking and the commute.
Parking Lot H will be closed beginning Wednesday, April 18 for approximately one month. The closure will allow for modifications to the lot; closing driveways and adding a new drive on Mason St., plus completing the required DTE underground work to allow for repaving of the surface parking lot. Demolition of Parking Lot H will begin next week.
Additionally, the northbound lane of Mason Street will be closed for part of this timeframe while DTE completes underground work and concrete paving work for the driveways.
It is anticipated DTE will need to close both lanes of Mason on this block to complete an underground connection, but the drive to the West Village condos near the railroad tracks will remain open when this closure occurs.
Alternative parking in Lots F and G or using the East and West Parking Decks is recommended.
A meeting for businesses and West Village Condo residents is being held Monday, April 16th at 4 p.m. at Bailey's Dearborn, located at 22091 Michigan Avenue, to discuss this construction schedule in further detail.
We know parking and road closures can be challenging, but we appreciate your patience as we continue to grow and improve #DowntownDearborn
