Young children of all abilities living near six “tot lot” parks in Dearborn will enjoy colorful new playground equipment next summer. The new slides and swings also are compliant with the Americans with Disability Act requirements, and so will be welcoming to all.
The equipment is headed for Raymond-Carlysle, Freda-Blesser, Martha-Myrtle, Riverdale, Tannahill and Gary parks, and should be installed by the end of May 2019.
The purchase price of the equipment is $135,000 and is part of the City of Dearborn’s ongoing modernization plan to replace outdated playgrounds.
