At approximately 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, Detroit Police pursued a vehicle for a suspected homicide in Detroit, with assistance from the Dearborn Police Department. The individual parked briefly in the Fordson High School student parking lot before exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot. Dearborn Police pursued east towards Schaefer Rd. and made an arrest without incident.

Fordson High was placed on lockdown for approximately 20 minutes as the pursuit ensued. There are no suspected threats to the school related to this incident.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned and charged by the Detroit Police Department. All further press inquiries should be directed to the Detroit Police Department.
