The Dearborn Summer Market, formerly known as the Dearborn Farmer’s and Artisans Market, is back and will take place on most Fridays through September 22 from 4-8 p.m. along West Village Drive between Mason and Monroe at 1034 Monroe St.
The rebranded Summer Market is a local favorite focused on bringing residents and the community together. This year, the event is sponsored by Corewell Health, Beaumont Urgent Care, Modern Greek, and Galata Sweets.
The Summer Market is managed by the West Downtown Dearborn Development Authority (WDDDA). With a team of business district liaisons with the City’s Economic Development Department, the intent is to bring people together in the community while supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs. Many traditional activities will be held, along with some new and exciting events and activities for the summer months.
Jordan Twardy, director of the City of Dearborn’s Economic Development Department stated, “We are strengthening new and past events to rally the community while also supporting local farmers, entrepreneurs and small businesses. The Summer Market is one way we can all work together to promote healthy living with fresh, local foods, and a healthy lifestyle with the offerings of all the vendors.”
Assorted vendors will be on site selling seasonal, local, Michigan-produced products and goods. You will find antique shops, a bakery, classes and workshops, educational activities and more. There are also planned days for events for children and musical performances. There will also be food trucks on site during Summer Market days.
