As of Monday, October 2, Lonyo Avenue between Warren Avenue and the Railroad will be closed through November for a comprehensive road resurfacing and construction project. This project is expected to be conducted in two phases over the course of the next several months, weather permitting.
The first stage will begin in October through mid-November, and will involve the removal and replacement of curbs and gutters in the area. Once complete, Lonyo between Warren and the Railroad is expected to reopen mid-November 2023 through April 2024.
The second phase of the project will begin April 15, 2024 and will include resurfacing the road with new ashphalt and concrete repair work. This part of the project will require the road to close again through June 2024.
The project timeline is dependant on weather and other natural factors beyond the control of construction.
