The City of Dearborn’s Home Rehabilitation Program is a comprehensive program to assist low
and moderate-income owner-occupants to rehabilitate their homes. Rehabilitation primarily
consists of correcting code violations to assure a safe and sanitary living environment for
residents. Some examples of eligible repairs are roof replacement, plumbing, major sewer
repairs, doors and windows, aluminum and vinyl siding, furnace, and water heater repairs.

The City of Deaborn is looking for contractors interested in working on projects for the Home
Rehabilitation Program. Registered contractors will be notified of open bids as they come
available. Interested contractors should review the Contractor Handbook and the Rehabilitation

• Lead Based Paint Certifications for:
  o EPA or State of Michigan Lead Abatement Supervisor certification (project
  manager) and at least one other employee must hold a valid Lead Abatement
  Worker or Lead Inspector certification pertaining to lead hazard reduction
  activities.
