The City of Dearborn requires a vacant property to be registered with the City. The Vacant Property Registration Program was developed to:

• Protect property values
• Prevent blight
• Enhance the economic viability of business districts
• Ensure properties are secure and safe
• Eliminate property maintenance nuisances
