Residents should login by using their water billing account number and name, exactly as it appears on the water bill. The website will then prompt residential customers with options for billing information and payments.
The processing fee for making credit card payments through the new system is 2.5%. The city does not receive any processing fees, only the amount of the water bill.
New features include:
Log In- All that is needed is the account number and the name as is appears on the bill.
Account History - allows customers to see online transactions.
View Bills – This page allows the water customer to view the most current bill with a drop down option to view past bills.
Make a Payment – Residential customers can make a payment online with a credit card at the prompt. Only VISA and Mastercard credit or debit cards are accepted. Information associated with the credit card is entered on the secure site. Once information is entered correctly, the customer then submits through “Make Payment”.
Once a payment is made a receipt is generated for that payment amount. It can then be printed for records.
Pay water bill using the DivDat Kiosk Network:
Please Note: Residents paying by credit card or debit card will incur a 3% convenience fee. E-Checks are Free.
In addition to the new online bill pay service, the City of Dearborn continues to offer additional options for paying water bills:
Automated Clearing House Debit
Residents may pay water bills via ACH Debit (Automated Clearing House), which is a direct withdrawal by the City of Dearborn from your bank account. This payment option is free and the program specifics are listed on the forms.
Residents may mail their bill and check payment to:
City of Dearborn Dept 3101 P O Box 30516 Lansing MI 48909-8016
Checks should be made payable to the City of Dearborn, and the department number and account number must be included on the check.
At the Dearborn Administrative Center
Residents may use the 24-hour payment drop box located in the parking lot of the Dearborn Administrative Center, located at 16901 Michigan Ave. Place your bill and check (no cash please) in a sealed envelope and place it in the secure payment box. Dropbox payments are picked up weekdays, Monday through Friday, at 8 a.m.
When you use the mail, dropbox payment options or stand in line at the DAC, your canceled check will serve as your receipt. Because the canceled check is proof of payment, the Treasury Division no longer stamps bills.
If you choose to wait in line, the cashier’s office at the DAC accepts cash, check or credit card. Processing fees will apply to credit card payments.
